Neotel CEO Sunil Joshi steps down

Neotel’s CEO Sunil Joshi has resigned with immediate effect to “pursue his own interests”, the company said in a statement on Monday (7 December).

This comes after Joshi was placed on special leave while an investigation was conducted into allegations of misconduct pertaining to deals between Neotel and Homix.

“The placing of Mr Sunil Joshi on leave was a Board initiated process, whilst an investigation was being conducted into certain transactions involving Neotel and Homix,” the company said.

This will see MTN Group restructured into three regions – West and Central Africa (WECA), South and East Africa (SEA), and Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Western Cape entrepreneurs invited to pitch for investment at funding fair

The second annual Western Cape Funding Fair will take place in Cape Town in May of next year, with the province’s entrepreneurs invited to pitch for multi-million rand investment.

The first Western Cape Funding Fair – a partnership between the Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism and advisory firm Deloitte – took place in March of last year, and received over 600 applicants for funding.
