- In France, ‘Thema’, distributor of TV package "Le Bouquet Africain” announced start of Oct. 2011 that it signed an agreement with French telecoms operator SFR for the inclusion of a new TV channel, TFM (Television Future Media), previously unreleased in France. TFM is a private Senegalese TV channel founded by Senegalese singer and businessman Youssou Ndour. It is accompanied by the resumption of the TRNC (Congolese National Radio and Television), Democratic Republic of Congo’s public television. The two channels are available as of 4 October 2011 in SFR neufbox TV offering. To date (11 Oct. 2011), Le Bouquet Africain has 115,000 subscribing households with 17 channels from 11 countries: Cameroon, Senegal, Mali, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Congo (Brazzaville) Gabon, Guinea, Togo, Benin and the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa).
