Promax BDA Africa conference will take place again to inspire creatives

This year’s PromaxBDA Africa conference is entirely focused on making the recession, and all the ugly three-headed monsters that came with it, a little less painful.

The SABC this week committed to Gold Sponsorship for the fourth edition of the PromaxBDA Africa Conference & Awards which is devoted entirely to TV on-air promotion and marketing. The first Promax/BDA Africa was held in Johannesburg in November 2006 and since then SABC together with DStv/M-Net have been gold sponsors of the event. The SABC will also sponsor the keynote speaker for the conference and will be honoured as the PromaxBDA Africa Awards show sponsor. In addition Nisha Jones, SABC Sales Director Commercial Enterprises will be chairman of this year’s PromaxBDA Africa event. The SABC will once again be associated with the Best Integrated Marketing Campaign Award which recognises an integrated marketing campaign for a channel or programme that uses at least three forms of media, that is, on air, print, new media or radio spot. The winner of this award category will receive a Promax Gold Muse and pass to the 2010 Los Angeles PromaxBDA Conference courtesy of SABC.

Promax has cut the conference down to one day, meaning that ticket to the conference will cost less. Promax has also jam-packed this single day with the very best creative and marketing minds, all of which have found ways to deliver BIG ideas on small budgets. Delegates will be introduced to a new mindset, a new way of approaching multiplatform deliverables and out of this world, inspiring creative.
