TUNISIANS PROMOTING EMPLOYMENT THROUGH FIVE CYBERPARCS
Five cyberparcs, spaces equipped with modern communications networks have been put up in Gafsa, Kasserine, Monastir, Siliana and Le Kef, were being promoted at an information day at technopôle d’El Ghazala. Ayachi Saïhi, national co-ordinator of cyberparcs said that they would be able to offer companies in these regions a variety of services including: web page design, document scanning and digitisation of information. The aim was to create jobs through opening up the country to new economy opportunities.
The cyberparcs currently house 23 companies employing 180 people with "diplômés du supérieur". The state is currently renting the spaces for a peppercorn rent of one dinar a square metre a year. This will rise to 15 dinars in year 2 and 30 dinars in year three.
