LIBYAN CYBER-DISSIDENT HELD WITHOUT CHARGES - NO NEWS AFTER 5 MONTHS

There is still no news of Libyan cyber-dissident Abdel Razak Al Mansouri five months after his arrest. He was detained in January for writing an article for an overseas web site that satirised a speech by Libya's President Kadhafi.

Two internet users who presented themselves as the sisters of Mansouri - Noria and Faiza - have wriiten messages of support on the Akhbar site and called on other Libyan internet users to sign a petition of support with their true names rather than pseudonyms. Mansouri is believed to be being held in a jail in Tripoli.
