SOUTH AFRICA'S TELKOM LOOKS TO INVEST IN BOTSWANA FIRST

Telkom is actively seeking opportunities in Botswana, Angola, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya as its revenues in SA come under greater competitive pressure from all quarters. According to Telkom, the company is considering investing in state-owned monopoly Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC), which is due to be privatised this year.
