- Microsoft has made its Setswana Language Interface Pack (LIP) for Windows XP available. The product, which forms part of the company's worldwide Local Language Programme (LLP), transforms the operating system from English into Setswana.

- The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) computer systems will be linked. They are compatible and data can be transmitted between the two systems of Kenya and. There are plans to link Tanzania to the two later.

- A co-operation agreement was signed between Tunisia and Microsoft company; The agreement aims at backing up public and private sectors' efforts in enhancing the abilities of firms and skills operating in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT), in such a manner as to strengthen complementarity between the two sectors and consolidate the competitiveness of national firms.
