-Kenya: The Zoop Company limited has extended its SchoolPesa service to Valentine Elite School to enable parents pay tuition fees. Parents would have access to the receipts of their payment whenever they want through Zoop online portal.
In three steps a parent would be given a student identity number (ID) that allows Zoop to safely and securely track all payments as well as online and printable receipts and SMS payment confirmation. Once signed up all they need to do is to go to the M-Pesa menu and that payments will be processed in 48 hours.

- The Uganda Communications Commission has set up a Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) to improve and secure communication services in the country. The CERT will complement the National CERT which is under the National Information and Technology Authority (NITA-U). The unit prowls the internet to monitor and report high-tech crimes including cyber-based terrorism, computer intrusions, online sexual exploitation, and major cyber frauds.
