Facebook’s Internet.org now in Senegal

Internet.org, a service launched by Facebook to bring Internet access to growing nations has launched in Senegal.

According to Facebook, the service will be made available in partnership with Tigo, so the telco customers will get loads of free basic internet services within Senegal including access to AccuWeather, BabyCenter & MAMA, BBC News, BING, UNICEF, Ebola Info, Facebook, UNICED Facts for Life, Girl Effect by Nike Foundation, Malaria No More, Messenger, Wattpad, Wikipedia, Wiwisport, Dakaractu.com, Senjob. All in French.

Internet.org is now available in 13 countries, which includes: Kenya, Colombia, Guatemala, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Philippines, Malawi, Pakistan, Ghana, Tanzania, Zambia and Senegal.
