Tigo begins construction of datacentre in Senegal

Telco to invest over US$5-million into into infrastructure in the Senegalese town of Diamniadio.
Tigo has announced the construction of a datacenter in Senegal as part of its growth and investment strategy, focused on telecommunications, internet access and mobile services across the west african country.

The company intends to invest three billion CFA francs (approximately US$5,192 040) to establish the new data center and use it to provide digital services and last generation technologies, including online services, financial services, Video-on-Demand, as well as high speed dedicated internet access.
