Orange announced that its mobile payment service Orange Money France can now be accessed via an Android app available on the Play store. Launched in June, the service enables money transfers to three countries in Africa (Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal) and within mainland France.

Orange said that from November its minimum international transfer fee has become more attractive, with a EUR 2.20 one-off charge for transfers of up to EUR 50. The service can currently be used to transfer up to EUR 400 in one transaction with an international transfer fee of EUR 7.

First launched in Ivory Coast in 2008, Orange Money has been rapidly expanding its customer base, with over 28 million customers across the African continent.
