Mergers, Acquisitions and Financial Results

Orange Cote d’Ivoire has announced the completion of its merger with incumbent fixed line operator Cote d’Ivoire Telecom (CI-Telecom). The move has created a fully converged fixed and mobile provider which operates under the Orange brand. The deal to unite the two Orange Group subsidiaries was first announced on 28 April 2016, with the two firms already sharing the same management team, as well as the same sales and distribution network. Agence Ecofin reports that the combined entity is owned by Orange Group (69%) and the Cote d’Ivoire government (31%).
