Canar telecommunications Company the major fixed line operator in Sudan, became the new operator to acquire the new fourth-generation (4G) internet services license after signing an agreement with the National Telecommunication Corporation on March 27, 2017 The National Telecommunications Corporation (NTC) has agreed to provide Canar with the first 2.3GHz frequency that will paving the way to introduce 4.5G experience data services in the country for SMEs and Households.

Orange Madagascar, the third largest Malagasy cellco by subscribers, has announced that it has officially launched its 4G LTE network. According to the operator’s website, 4G connectivity is currently restricted to capital city Antananarivo, but local news sources have noted that Orange expects to achieve nationwide coverage by the end of the year.
