Me&you mobile names Swart as new CEO

South Africa's Me&you mobile has appointed Danie Swart as its new CEO, replacing former CEO Brett Howell, who has left the company to explore other opportunities, MyBroadband reported.

Howell was the founding CEO and headed up the company from August 2014 to March. Swart took over from Howell at the beginning of March. He was behind the launch of Mr Price Mobile and has spent nearly two decades in the telecommunications field.

Me&you launched its first products on 4 May 2015, and came out with an offer of unlimited voice calls for ZAR 300 per month. Me&you roams on Cell C's network, is owned by the Durban-based Ignition Group, and receives infrastructure and billing support from MVN-X.
