Benin’s Electronic Communications & Postal Regulatory Authority (ARCEP) has opened sanction procedures against mobile network operators MTN, Moov and Globacom (Glo), alleging breaches of quality of service (QoS) standards (in the case of MTN and Glo) and, in Moov’s case, failing to comply with network security specifications to protect against fraud on incoming international traffic.

The regulator’s actions follow two warnings given out earlier this year, whilst it stated that any necessary penalties will be issued in 15 days.
