MTN South Africa has advised its customers to beware of a scam doing the rounds that promotes 3GB of data for ZAR 129.00 per month. It asks customers to provide their banking details to qualify. MTN said the promotion is a scam and it reminded its customers that it will never ask for banking details as part of any promotion that it runs.

Authentic MTN promotions are backed up by advertising on a number of channels including broadcast and print media, at branded stores, on billboards, on Y'ello Trader, its website and social media platforms. MTN strongly urges its customers to remain vigilant and safeguard their personal and financial details at all times.
