To boost girl-child education, a rights and development-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), the Centre for Children’s Health Education, Orientation and Protection (CEE-HOPE), has established a Girl ICT Centre in Lagos. The centre, which comprises numerous computers meant to empower and train girls on ICT skills, was commissioned by a team of women rights activists and science experts led by the president of Women Arise, Dr Joe Okei Odumakin, and a Scotland-based Nigerian engineer, Anuli Obiaga Marshal.
