MOZAMBIQUE GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES INTERNET PORTAL

This week in Maputo, the Information Policy Commission launched the government portal, with the aim of creating a common infrastructure for executive communications. The government portal was developed by the Implementation Unit for Information Policy (UTICT), as part of the Government Electronic Network project launched in 2004 and financed by Italian government. The ceremony was presided over by the Prime Minister, Luísa Diogo, the Chairperson for the Information Policy Commission, and was attended by other government members, representatives of public authorities, the business sector, members of civil society and international donors.
