- Opening an Internet channel has paid off for account payment service SA’s EasyPay, which is experiencing payment volume growth every month. The Web site was launched in 1998 as the online extension of the brand’s physical presence in retailers including Pick ‘n Pay, Shoprite Checkers and others. It allows users to pay more than 130 different consumer accounts such as municipal accounts, Telkom, Eskom, SABC and traffic fines, as well as buy prepaid electricity. Prism TSS MD Mike Smith says the site experiences average payment volume growth of 8% every month, with some users paying up to five individual accounts in one visit.
- After four years in development, SA courier company Berco Express is launching its Web-based courier solution to offer door-to-door courier services throughout South Africa.
