Nigeria: NASS Budgets N850 million for TV/Radio Stations

An estimated sum of N850 million (US$7.3 million) has been allocated by the National Assembly in its 2008 budget for state radio and television stations. It was also disclosed that the sum of N500 million was earmarked for the establishment of TV/radio stations for the Senate and another N350 million for the House of Representatives allocated for the same purpose. A total of N850 million was allocated for the simple setting up of sub-stations for television and radio within the NASS.
