Arab Satellite TV channels invited to react to controls on their operations by Arab League

Last Wednesday the Arab League on Wednesday called on Arab Satellite TV channels to pronounce on the satellite broadcasting regulation mechanisms in the Arab region. The Arab League invited the representatives of public and private Arab satellite TV channels to take part in a meeting planned for Sunday, to give their opinions on the devices relating to satellite broadcasting regulation, in line with an Arab Information Ministers Council's decision. According to the council's decision, the Arab Permanent Information Committee is in charge of holding meetings in anticipation of the set up of a relevant mechanism project, an Arab League official said.
