- Namibia’s KARAS 102.3 FM community radio says it has made great strides in providing participatory broadcasting services to people in Keetmanshoop and surrounding areas despite facing many challenges since its launch in October. Thomas said plans are afoot to extend the station's coverage to Lüderitz and surrounding areas. Currently the radio covers a 50-kilometre radius.It broadcasts in Nama, Oshiwambo, Afrikaans and English from Keetmanshoop's Tseiblaagte residential area.
- Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has completed arrangements with Daar Communications to begin live transmission of matches featuring clubs from the Nigerian National Professional League, the sole broadcast rights was given to Daar Communications, According to the agreement, two matches will be beamed live to television audience on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the remaining period of the season.The Nigeria Football Federation has directed state Football Associations to cooperate with the broadcast crew of AIT/Daarsat to ensure a hitch-free transmission of the matches, as refusal by any club or state F.A to do so will attract sanctions from NFF.
