TV5 Monde to launch free children's web TV channel
Francophone TV channel TV5 Monde has announced the launch of a children's web TV channel. The free channel Tivi5Monde Plus, aimed at 3-12 year-olds, will be accessible at www.tivi5mondeplus.com in Africa, non-French speaking Europe, Latin America, Asia and in the Arab world.
It will be the first international French-speaking web-TV for kids. After its mobile Web site and its VoD platform devoted to French-speaking cinema, TV5Monde has launched this new Web TV Youth as part of its strategy of achieving a multi-platform strategy This innovative service will allow French-speaking families but also afrancophile public to familiarise their children French, to reach youth programs of quality in a safe environment and without any time zones constraint.
In close cooperation with its partners (FranceTélévisions, Radio-Canada, RTBF, TV-Quebec and TSR, TV5Monde selected top French-speaking children programs in four categories:
• cartoons: Cédric, Stalemate and Stan, Titeuf, Inami, Rantanplan, Kid Paddle, Sam Sam, Spirou and Fantasio, Shuriken school, the enchanted horse-gear, Raymond…
• entertainments (magazines, fictions): The p' tits amateurs, Neurons, Blah, the broco show, adventures of Wambi…
• educational programs: One minute at the museum, small citizens, Thank you professor
• daily information: Niouzz (except in France, in Belgium, in Switzerland, in Canada and the United States).
