Investment In Brief:

- South African produced hit movie White Wedding was been pirated within a month of its release. Illegal copies of the film, released on April 29, have for the past fortnight been on sale on the streets of Johannesburg and Cape Town. It sells for a mere R50. James Lennox, spokesman for the SA Federation Against Copyright Theft, said six people had been arrested in connection with the pirating of White Wedding. “We seized eight DVD burners and about 1000 copies of DVDs for this film at a Pretoria flat where the burning of the DVD had been happening,” he said. “This theft of copyright would account for R250000 in DVD sales and that would take away up to 15percent off box office sales from the film.”
