- Nigeria’s The Federal Capital Administration (FCTA) has disclosed that the decision to suspend the Board of Directors of the Aso Radio/Television was to enable it carry out uninhibited investigation into a plan to defraud the administration to the tune of over N300 million.
- The SABC is taking the Sunday Times to the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg last week after an article, published in March, revealed the mismanagement of Matilda Gaboo, head of the SABC's international section.
- The chairman of the National Council of broadcasters, Capt. Francis Babu, has asked the government to revise laws that govern broadcasters in the country.
