- Ryan Kampe and Sylvain Tron’s Visit Films has acquired international sales rights to NFVF funded film Shirley Adams (taking place in SA) which won multiple awards at the 30th Durban International Film Festival held recently in Durban, receiving the Best South African Feature Film, Best First Feature Film, and Best Actress Award.

- The M-Net show Big Brother Revolution has begun, and as promised it started with a huge surprise - all the housemates who entered the house on Sunday are all men.

- Animal Planet Media (APM), a multi-media business unit of Discovery Communications will broadcast several documentaries including one called "The Herd", set for Fall 2009. It is about a 1,200 strong herd of elephants at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.

- The controversy surrounding the ownership of the TV right for Nigeria 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup was settled last week, with the world football governing body declaring DAAR Communications as the rights owners.
