* Thomson Grass Valley representatives met with Hadj Gley, Tunisia’s Minister of Technology and Communications to discuss the country’s TV digitalisation programme «Télévision numérique terrestre» (TNT). The Government has put aside 4.6 million euros over 5 years for the programme for the first phase of the project, the acquisition of equipment. A digital transmission pilot was run at the end of last year and the Government intends to provide digital coverage to 90% of the country initially before covering 100% by 2014. There will 22 stations with 60 secondary stations, a national coverage network and bouquets of programmes with possible regional inserts.

* South African MultiChoice subscribers will see a bigger world of HD on their screens, with Discovery HD Showcase being the latest channel to be added to the growing list of HD channels on DStv.
