- Spanish-language broadcaster Univision Communications unveiled its plans on Wednesday 24 March for its extensive cross- platform coverage plans for the soccer World Cup in South Africa which starts on 11 June. The company has the exclusive Spanish-language broadcast rights in the US to the FIFA World Cup. It will broadcast all 64 matches live (900 hours of coverage) and in HD and provide coverage about and surrounding the big sports event across its Univision, TeleFutura, Galavision, Univision.com, Univision Movil and Univision On Demand assets.
