Investment News: In Brief


- The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) announced its continued support for the Durban International Film Festival (DIFF), taking place in Durban from 22 July until 01 August 2010. This year marks NFVF's eleventh year as the festival funder.

- The Africa in Motion film festival in Edinburgh has just received a prestigious international award from the Foundation for Subjective Experience and Research (S.E.R. Foundation).

- The SAVF Belfast Kinderhuis in Mphumalanga has benefitted from the “MultiChoice Reach Out” initiative. The corporate social investment project is aimed at presenting customers with an opportunity to support and contribute to the less fortunate within their communities. Customers are able to nominate a charity or orphanage to receive a cash donation from MultiChoice. The SAVF Belfast Kinderhuis was nominated by Christa Martignone at her sons request. MultiChoice provides both its customers and employees with opportunities to get involved in its community development programmes. To date it has assisted over 12 charities through the Reach Out programme, ranging from animal welfare organisations to those non-governmental organisations caring for people living with HIV/Aids.
