TV series looking for South Africa’s next president

A TV series broadcast in South Africa’s seeks the next great leader of the country. SABC Education is looking for the very best young leaders in South Africa to participate in a television show, “One Day Leader”. Over a period of 13 weeks SABC1 viewers will watch as a hand-picked group of young leaders show why they should be the winner of this unique television series.

The winner will receive the opportunity to effect change and gain experience in positions of leadership as an intern in the offices of the chairperson of the National Youth Development Agency and the Presidency

In the series 12 participants will be given challenges that address social, economical and political issues affecting South Africa on a daily basis.  

 Entry is done online via www.sabc1.co.za. Entries close on 10 November 2010. The qualification criteria are:
·        A young person between 18 and 25 who has what it takes to make a difference.
·        Must be a South African citizen.
·        Must have matric or higher education.
·        Must convince the selectors that you have strong leadership abilities.
·        Must have a personality suitable for national television.
·        Must be available for 13 weeks between December 2010 and May 2011.
·        Must be able to commute to the production studios in Randburg at your own cost.
