- In Nigeria, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) said in 2 July 2011 that broadcasting stations in the country will undergo full digitisation by 2012 if government enacts the necessary legislation to back up the transition. The switch to the full nation’s territory will be done gradually, starting with major urban areas.

- At the end of June 2011 in Angola, the governor of northern Uige province, Paulo Pombolo, praised the commitment and dedication shown by the professionals of the Angolan News Agency (ANGOP E-P) and the Public Television of Angola (TPA E-P) in disseminating information about the development of the region and the country in general in most varied sectors, either inland or overseas.
