- International speakers from Canada, Australia, Isle of Man, UK and Belgium addressed the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) international conference on broadcasting regulatory frameworks at the Hilton Hotel, Sandton from 20-21 February 2012. The overall objective was to ensure that regulatory frameworks for broadcasting services promote the development of public, commercial and community broadcasting services, which in the context of digital convergence and migration are responsive to the needs of the public, which promotes a plurality of views, news and information.
