- MTV Base series “Shuga: Love, Sex, Money”, a television show set in Nairobi, Kenya that follows the lives, loves and ambitions of a group of young people has been developed into a radio drama and hit the airwaves on 27 June 2012.

- The African Audio-Visual Awards (TAVA), set to take place at The National Arts Theatre in the Iganmu State of Lagos, Nigeria on the 29th of July 2012, is an event that serves as a benchmark for Africa audio-visual content by encouraging the practitioners through rewards that will reawaken them in the need to make conscious efforts towards training and re-training as to attain perfection in their areas of specialisation.

- Feathered Dreams – is the first feature-length film co-produced by Nigeria and Ukraine, starring Nigerian celebrity Omoni Oboli and Ukrainian actor Andrew Rozhen.

- For its 10th anniversary, the African Diaspora International Film Festival 2012 (Chicago USA) salutes the 100th anniversary of the African National Congress by screening two South African dramas with historic dimensions. “Come Back, Africa” (1959), shown in a restored print and co-sponsored by the South African consulate in Chicago, takes its title from an African National Congress slogan. Also scheduled is a reprise of “Nothing But the Truth” (2008), shown at the 2010 festival.
