SatLink Communications is providing the TV distribution platform on the satellite.

OFIVE TV, headquartered in Paris with broadcasts to over 60 countries world-wide, offers 24-hour music television programming consisting of music videos, artist interviews, documentaries, TV shows, movies, sports, and general entertainment. Its viewers are primarily young people seeking authentic, independent music, and a varied non-mainstream fashion sensibility and alternative lifestyles.

OFIVE TV ( www.ofive.tv) is the first international Alternative TV network. The network also reaches platforms such as mobile and web. Alternative Culture connects with a young audience of 15 to 35 year olds, taking a fresh, high-quality approach to issues close to the hearts of its viewers. It is the fastest growing segment of media market and captures the interest of a majority of young people who are looking for authentic, independent music, a varied non-mainstream fashion sensibility and alternative lifestyles. OFIVE TV airs the most popular Alternative music genres including the latest in Electro Dubstep, Pop Rock, Hip Hop and Soul. OFIVE TV includes audience participation via its web magazine and through external blogs.

Nicolas Oyas, CEO of OFIVE TV stated, "French-speaking Africa is clearly in need of our network especially since we are focusing on the new generation of alternative media. This new youth culture is the fastest growing segment of the media market. With AMOS-5, we plan to reach millions of African viewers and capture the interest of the continent's young people."

"The AMOS-5 Ku-band is perfectly placed for delivering OFIVE TV to all of French speaking Africa. Our solution is bringing the network's exciting content to an emerging generation of young music, fashion and lifestyle leaders," commented Amir Carmeli, Spacecom vice president for sales, West Europe. "The AMOS-5 neighborhood at 17∞E is growing fast and this is an excellent addition to the content of our French speaking bouquet."

From its 17∞E orbital position, AMOS-5 provides powerful C-band and Ku-band beams for supplying broadcast and data services to the entire African continent. The satellite began commercial operations in January 2012 and is becoming a prime carrier of African satellite communications traffic in both broadcast and data services.

Spacecom (Space-Communication Ltd.), operator of the AMOS-2 and AMOS-3 satellites co-located at 4∞W and AMOS-5 located at 17∞E, provides high-quality broadcast and communications services in Europe, the Middle East, the U.S. East Coast and Africa, to direct-to-home (DTH) and direct broadcast satellite (DBS) operators, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecom operators, network integrators and government agencies.

AMOS-5 delivers high-power C-band and Ku-band capacity to the entire African continent with connectivity to Europe and the Middle East. The planned launch of AMOS-4 in 2013 with coverage over Russia and South Asia, and AMOS-6 in 2015 with coverage over Europe and the Middle East, will further enhance Spacecomís position as a premier multi-regional satellite operator.
