"Festival international du film documentaire": a thematic menu for the fifth edition
Twelve films produced between 2011 and 2012 representing the Maghreb, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa will contribute to the ranking of the fifth edition of the "Festival international du film documentaire" (French for "The International Festival of Documentary Film") to be held from 22 to 25 April 2013 in Agadir.
Selected by a jury of Moroccan and foreign professionals from the world of cinema and culture, these productions, the duration of which does not exceed 52 minutes, will compete for the prestigious Grand Prix-Nouzha Drissi, Jury Prize and public Awards "Nourredine Kachti."
Note that these awards are respectively supported by 2M Moroccan TV, the international channel TV5 Monde and the French Institute of Agadir.
The previous edition was held five months after the sudden death, on December 4, of Nouzha Drissi, president of the ACEA, founder and CEO of FIDADOC, who the Festival paid tribute to.
Besides the official competition, this fifth edition will offer moviegoers an overview of Moroccan, Arab and African films of the same period, that is to say, between 2011 and 2012. The thematic programs also host films about social (children rights, women ...), environmental (water management, waste ...) and economic (fair trade, globalization ...) issues, as well as music and sport: all lengths are accepted whatever the year of production, "it does read on the Festival site.
In this regard, the organizers invite interested producers to submit their productions on DVD subtitled in English or in French, before 10 February 2013.
