- The Television commission of the French audiovisual production Fund for the South (La commission Television du Fonds francophone de production audiovisuelle du Sud), which met in November in Bujumbura (Burundi), selected 21 productions among the 50 projects that were submitted.

Among the programs selected 16 works will be assisted in their production (8 documentary unit, 2 documentary series, 5 series of fiction and 1 animation), other 4 will get finishing help (3 documentaries and 1 television series) and one documentary project will benefit from development assistance. The total amount of the allocated aid stood at 300,000 euros. Consisting of 7 members - 2 representatives of the OIF and the International Council of Radio and Television of French-speaking (CIRTEF) and 5 television professionals representing the cultural and geographic diversity of the Francophonie - the commission will hold its next session in June 2013 to discuss projects for the first half of 2013.

- The "Arab Film Market" has been created for the first time in Tunis by the "chamber syndicale des producteurs de films tunisiens" with the support of representatives of the Euromed Audiovisual III program of the European Union an with Film Distributors from Morocco, Algeria and Egypt, with the aim to create a platform to showcase films from member countries during each festival.

- The organisers of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity have named Coca-Cola as the recipient of the 2013 Creative Marketer of the Year Award.
