- Film "Zéro" by Moroccan director Noureddine Lakhmari won the 14th National Film Festival (FNF) of Tangier, Atlas Info reported on Sunday (February 10th). Abdeslam Kelai's "Malak" took the prize for best scenario.

- Zimbabwe: Film producer Donald Mabido has challenged local filmmakers and artistes to play a part in preaching peace and reconciliation as the country moves towards another election. Mabido said plans are afoot for the release of his national healing feature film "Two Villages Apart" by March.

- Rotterdam: At the recently concluded 42nd annual International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), a couple of African movies emerged as some of the best - giving hope to the continent's cinema on a global platform.
