- Mozambique: On March 13, 2013, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared that director Francesco Bruni’s “Scialla” will open the 5th annual Italian Film Festival in Maputo on 15 March 2013. The festival runs through 22 March.

- CFI is offering its English-speaking partners 60-minute TV episodes related to Africa’s environment. Rarely given priority, it is however a crucial issue, with further-reaching ramifications such as animal protection. With Africa undergoing changes at a frantic pace, especially in terms of urbanisation, issues such as deforestation, pollution, the preservation of traditional fishing methods and the risks of chaotic developments in tourism need to be addressed. This programme produced by the African Environmental Film Foundation will be available for TV partners every Monday at 10.00 am GMT until April 2013.

- BBC Worldwide is delighted to announce a Best International Format win for the critically acclaimed Come Dine With Me South Africa, commissioned by BBC Worldwide Channels for BBC Entertainment, at the 7th Annual South African Film and Television Awards 2013 (SAFTAs). Nominated alongside Masterchef SA and Dance Your Butt Off, the series received the Golden Horn, the official SAFTA trophy, at a ceremony in Johannesburg on Friday and Saturday, 15th – 16th March 2013.
