Somalia: car bomb attack killed and wounded two radio journalists

The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) condemns strongly a car bomb attack which killed and wounded civilian people, including two radio journalists.

A suicide bomber blew up his car near Villa Somalia (Presidential Palace) at around 12:05pm local time and killed journalist Mohamed Ali Nuhurkey, a producer at Mustaqbal Radio, a private radio station in Mogadishu. The journalist was severely wounded in the attack but died at Madina hospital in the afternoon. At least eight people were killed in this attack.

Another journalist Abdirashid Nur Ibrahim who is also working for Mustaqbal Radio was wounded in this attack which wounded more than 20 people. Luckily, the journalist does not have life-therening wounds but was admitted to a hospital.
