-France Telecom-Orange – largely present in Africa as a telecoms and pay TV operator - dropped the first part of its name on 1 July 2013: Adieu! to the ‘France Telecom’ brand name.

- Seven months after the initial migration there are currently 52 free television channels covering the nine regions of Tanzania in which digital transmissions have taken over compared to just 38 stations that existed during the reign of analogue broadcasting.Full story here
