- Nigeria: As part of activities to mark Nollywood’s forthcoming 20th anniversary, Nigerian Entertainment Today has gathered that a section of the film industry is planning to construct a Nollywood village. According to the President of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP), Zik Okafor, who disclosed this to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the aim is to have a structure which will hold television actors, different guild associations, creative designers and other professionals in the same environment.

- On August 15, 2013, it was announced that Wananchi Group, the owner of East African pay TV operator Zuku TV, plans to launch a fresh funding round for US$50 million (€38 million) to US$100 million before the end of the year, according to CEO Richard Bell.
