A special invitation to attend the 3rd edition of the AFRIFF, which will be held in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria from 10th to 17th November, 2013.

The Africa International Film Festival is a world class showcase of African film-making, with participation from both local and international filmmakers, celebrities, actors, directors, film buyers, distributors, visual artists, film students, enthusiasts, equipment manufacturers and the press. This year's festival promises an enthralling immersion into the complete world of cinema, with a series of red carpet premieres, technical talent development workshops, business networking events including Discussion Panels where partnerships and collaborations are possible for the development of film content and trade channels.

A rich and diverse programme will feature movies from all over the world in several genres, with four category awards open for competition. The award categories are Feature Films, Short Films, Animation Films and Documentaries. The festival will kick off with the Africa première of the screen adaptation of "Half of a Yellow Sun," the critically acclaimed novel by the multiple award winning Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie. The festival will close with a glamorous Awards and Gala Nite, while every day in between will offer a retinue of top class entertainment and memorable experiences, from breathtaking scenic excursions to rocking parties.
