- Turner Broadcasting System has linked up with African pay TV operator MultiChoice to launch Cartoon Network in Angola and Mozambique tomorrow.
The kids’ channel will be available in Portuguese on pay TV platform DStv from October 1, airing toons such as Adventure Time, Ben 10 Omniverse and The Amazing World of Gumball. Source: c21media, 30 Sept. 2013.

- HBO in Europe and Universal Networks in Africa have picked up multiple episodes of long-running series Hollywood on Set from producer and distributor Prime Entertainment. The show, which goes behind the scenes to interview the stars of three Hollywood productions in each episode, celebrates its 10th anniversary in November and runs to 500 shows. Universal Networks has acquired 52 episodes for its channels across Africa. ETV in South Africa has already signed up for new episodes being produced this year. Source: c21media, 30 Sept. 2013.
