Africa at the Annual Golden Globe Awards and Oscars 2014


The continent will probably be represented in these two major ceremonies by Gris-Gris from Mahamat-Saleh Haroun (Chad), Winter of Discontent Ibrahim from El Batout (Egypt), Tey (Today / Today) from Alain Gomis (Senegal) and God's Horses (Horses of God) from Nabil Ayouch (Morocco).

Scheduled for 12 January 2014, the Annual Golden Globe Awards reward movies and series broadcast in 2013. In addition to Hollywood and European selections, some African titles have succeeded to infiltrate the list of qualified titles before the final appointments.

Tey (Today / Today) director Alain Gomis is nominated as God's Horses (Horses of God) Nabil Ayouch (Morocco). Their appointment will be confirmed only on December 12, the day of the last selection.

This ceremony is a prelude to the greatest, the most awaited by the world of cinema, the Oscars.

The Oscars ceremony will be held on March 2, 2014 in Hollywood, USA, and the final list of nominees will be available on the 16th January 2014. Director Moroccan Nabil Ayouch appear on both lists with the same film. Mahamat-Saleh Haroun is also in the race with Grigris (Chad).
