Morocco became a member of the European Audiovisual Observatory

Morocco became the 41st member of the European Audiovisual Observatory, following a decision taken on 11 December 2013 in Strasbourg by Ministry Committees at the Council of Europe.

At  the same time Morocco also becomes the first non- European country to integrate the organization, based in Strasbourg.

Established in 1992 this Observatory aims to collect and break down the information on the audiovisual industry in Europe. It operates within the legal framework of the Council of Europe and works with a number of experts of the organizations within the industry and with a network of correspondents.

In addition to its contributions to conferences, other major activities are the publication of a directory, reports and newsletters, compilation of databases and the provision of information through the website of the Observatory.
