Marrakech or Rabat for the opening match of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2015? The proposal of the Moroccan side to CAF will be made in the coming days for an answer to this question. This is one of the commitments made by the Moroccan delegation at the working session of Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the headquarters of CAF in Cairo, relating to preparations for the 2015 Orange Africa Cup of Nations.

Chaired by the Secretary General of CAF, Hicham El Amrani, who was assisted by his senior staff, the meeting was to review the various organizational aspects of the tournament, which the Kingdom of Morocco will host from 17 January through 7 February, 2015. The Calendar, draws, inspections visits, transportation, logistics, ticketing, fan area, involvement of host cities, TV production, marketing, sponsorship, mascot, accreditation, media ... Everything was reviewed.

With the exception of the Rabat stadium where expansion and modernization works are already in progress, the other three host cities, which recently hosted top-level competitions such as the FIFA Clubs' World Cup, have up to date infrastructure. These are Marrakech, Tangier and Agadir.

CAF Secretary-General reiterated to his panellists the importance that CAF attaches to the quality of the lawn and the care that needs to be given to it throughout the competition, whose TV production will use procedures that would have been experimented for the first time during the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup. It was agreed that a CAF inspection mission will be in Morocco in mid-April to concretely assess the reality of the progress on most of the mentioned aspects.
