AfricAvenir & FNCC host yet another Namibian Film Event. In order to promote public awareness in Namibia about Namibian film heritage, AfricAvenir and the FNCC screen Namibian cinematic products on a bi-monthly basis. The month of May will see the focus on 'Women in Namibian Film'.
On 14 May, 18h30, AfricAvenir & the FNCC present three short films by female directors from Namibia, namely Bridget Pickering (Uno's World), Oshosheni Hiveluah (100 Bucks), and Krischka Stoffels (Tjiraa).

Satellite operators Eutelsat Communications have signed a three-year contract with international facilities and content service provider, The International Media Associates (TIMA) in order for them to better disseminate news in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as broadcast from its London headquarters. In order to do this, TIMA has acquired capacity on the EUTELSAT 10A satellite with hopes that it will enhance its ability to serve international news teams covering high-profile events such as the Oscar Pistorius trial.
