Multichoice introduces BoxOffice in Zimbabwe

Broadcast

Multichoice announced the introduction of its BoxOffice service to DStv subscribers in Zimbabwe. The service allows subscribers with DStv Explora and HD PVR decoders to rent blockbuster movies for 48 hours. This is the first pay-per view service available for the local market, although it has been available in other Multichoice markets like South Africa and Nigeria, reports Techzim. Subscribers need to register for BoxOffice first, a process which has to be done online, after which they can rent any of the available titles for USD 2.50. Payments can be made via banks that accept DStv payments as well as through EcoCash and telecash, the two mobile money services that provide payment options and billing codes for Multichoice. DStv BoxOffice was also launched in Zambia in September.
