TNT SAT Africa to launch 60 free channels in Mali

Africable Television group is planning to launch 54 to 60 free channels in Mali through TNT SAT Africa. The announcement was made by Ismaïla Sidibé, CEO of Africable during an official visit of the TNT SAT teleport found in the capital of Bamako. Ismaïla Sidibé further revealed that the official launch of TNT SAT Africa is scheduled for the 7 and 9 October 2015.

Subsequently, viewers will be able to watch up to 60 free channels including African channels and France 24 for less than XOF 40,000 (US$68.06) for the antenna and receiver. Africable has developed a hybrid STBs with satellite and terrestrial reception.

“We received the latest technologies in digitization. With the TNT SAT AFRICA decoder, you can watch a channel and recorded another one. We also have the ability to provide internet facilities,” he added.

“Since June 17, there is satellite coverage of southern African region from Mauritania to Madagascar provided by Africable and its partners. We believe that it will be a great contribution in the context of digital TV”.
