Major League Soccer (MLS) has announced a new broadcast agreement with Fox Sports Africa.

The pay-TV broadcaster will televise MLS matches live across 25 countries and territories in sub-Saharan Africa until 2018.

Coverage will include at least two live regular-season fixtures per week, the MLS All-Star Game, the play-offs, and the season-ending MLS Cup.

Fox Sports Africa, which launched in 2014, will also show highlights, player features and other MLS content across its digital platforms.

The new deal means MLS will be shown in nearly 140 markets globally, with eight international broadcasters having so far taken rights to the league.
